چکیده
Abstract Musculoskeletal disorders remain the most common work-related health problem in European Union. The musculoskeletal disorder reported by workers is backache, especially logistics sector. Thus, this article aims to evaluate effects of a commercial passive low-back exoskeleton during simulated tasks. Thirty participants were recruited for study. Typical tasks laboratory environment. Cross-over research design was utilized assess on heart rate, trunk inclination, acceleration, throughput, and perceived exertion. Also, usability acceptance obtained using custom questionnaire. We found mostly non-significant differences. Effects throughput varied widely between workplaces. Usability ratings poor moderate. study suggests that holistic evaluation implementation approach industrial exoskeletons necessary. Further, prior implementation, workplace adaptation might be required.

The Dempster-Shafer “theory of evidence” encompasses and extends the Bayes Theorem-based decision making machinery. Dempster-Shafer’s innovation is the introduction of lower and upper bounds, designated “belief” and “plausibility”, that are attached to probability estimates. The Dempster-Shafer algebra provides for propagation of and reasoning about these quantities according to an algebra whos...

A Quasi - Passive Knee Exoskeleton to Assist During Descent
A pneumatic exoskeleton intended to decrease the muscle activity of the knee extensors during walking on a negative slope is presented. The device consists of an air spring that can be engaged and disengaged via a solenoid valve. When engaged, the air spring resists knee flexion. A preliminary evaluation of the device was conducted with a single healthy subject. During testing, the EMG activity...
متن کاملSubjective and Objective Evaluation of Conversational Agents
In this paper we present results from an investigation on correlations between subjective and objective evaluation metrics for young people using a conversational agent. The subjective evaluation metrics capture users’ experiences of different aspects of conversations with a virtual agent while the objective evaluation metrics are based on an analysis of the actual conversation between the user...
